Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty mobile and tablet app redesign
Apollo Matrix was selected by FigLeaf to partner with them on a redesign of their Radio Free Europe app for tablet and mobile. This app also serves as an umbrella design for many other BBG services, such as Radio Asia, Voice of America, Radio Alhurra and Marti Noticias.
Founded in 1949, Radio Free Europe (also known as Radio Liberty) is a broadcaster funded by the US Congress that reaches countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. It currently broadcasts to 21 countries in 28 different languages.
Apollo was tasked with making the existing user interface easier to use and friendlier for the end user, while preserving existing strengths. The redesigned app has larger text, larger graphics, and a grid layout on the front page that made distinguishing and selecting individual articles easier.
